A system where two devices communicate with each other when they are close to one another.
This is the same technology used in touchless payment cards and smartwatches and trusted by banks all around the world.
Why is it more secured?
NFC technology limits the communication to short distances (less than 20mm) which prevents remote signal theft.
NFC and Seguratainer’s purpose-built encryption gives you convenience and security.

Is NFC an “offline” solution?
Perfect for remote locations: NFC does not require Internet access. An authorized phone can open the lock even with no signal!
What do I need to do?
Nothing! All Seguratainer locks include their own NFC receiving antenna. And all modern phones include their own NFC antenna too.
Install the locks, setup your platform, authorize the right people’s phones, and you are ready!

All rules created on Seguratainer Management Platform are immediately synced with the app.
The user -mobile app user- cannot create or modify rules.
NEW: Now Also with Bluetooth Low Energy!
Similar to Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE operates in the 2.4 GHz band.
Bluetooth LE remains in sleep mode (switched off) unless the NFC initiates the connection.
The NFC uses induction from the phone to activate / wake up the Bluetooth LE module.
Instant lock cycle can then be done via Bluetooth LE.
